To log in to the HestiaCP control panel, use the credentials that you received at the end of the HestiaCP installation (or the credentials that you specified using the parameters when running the installation script). If the panel was installed from the VM Manager panel using a recipe, or you chose it when ordering, then the password for the admin user will be the same as for root.

After authorization, you will be able to observe such an interface.

In order to add a domain or database, you must create another user, as this is required by the panel's security policy.

    Important!
Although you can add domains by logging in with the
admin user, it is recommended that you also create a user account for yourself. This is because when you are logged in as admin you have elevated privileges so you can harm other user's websites if you are not careful.

HestiaCP will also warn you about this if you try to add a new domain as an admin user.

If you are logged into the panel as admin, then you can see this menu in the top panel: USERS WEB DNS MAIL DB CRON BSCKUPS

In the USERS section, click the ADD USER button and enter user details:

    1. Enter your username
    2. Nickname
    3. Mail
    4. Generate a password
    5. Select a language for the panel.
    6. Select the rights for this user.

    Save your settings.

As we can see, the user has been created. Now we can go to the level of the created user, and add our domain to the panel.

You can also use the data that you set for the new user and connect using the link https://YOUR_IP:8083/ or https://YOUR_DOMAIN:8083/

After logging in as a new user, we can add a domain by clicking the WEB top menu, and then the Add Web Domain button.

In the Domain cell, enter the name of the domain you want to add, if you need to create a mail domain, check the Enable mail For this Domain checkbox and click the Save button.

Now we can use our domain and install an SSL certificate on it and our website or any CMS you need. How to do this, we will see in this article How to issue an SSL certificate for a domain and install WordPress.
