After installing the Windows Server operating system, in addition to several service accounts, only the Administrator and Guest users are added to the system (by default, Guest is disabled). The Administrator has all the rights on the server, and if you need to grant access to the server to another person, it would be incorrect to provide the Administrator user's password from a security perspective and the potential loss of access to the server. In this case, it is recommended to additionally create a user with limited rights but with access through RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol).

To create a new user, connect to the server (how to connect to the server) and right-click on the Start button. Select "Computer Management."

In the opened window, click on "Local Users and Groups" - "Users" - right-click in the area with the list of users and select "New User..."

In the "User name" field, enter the username, for example, admin, user2, manager1, etc. In the "Password" field, enter a complex password, and in the "Confirm password" field, enter the same password again. The password should be complex: it is recommended to have at least 8 characters, including letters, numbers, special characters. To create a complex but memorable password, for example, you can take a word or phrase known only to you and write it in an English layout, adding some numbers and special characters at the beginning, end, and/or middle of the word or phrase.

You can also uncheck "User must change password at next logon." Click "Create" and close the window. The user is created.

Now, let's grant the new user access to the server through RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol).
To do this, open the properties of the created user, go to the "Member of" tab, click "Add," and in the opened window, click the "Advanced" button.

In the opened window, click "Find Now," select "Remote Management Users" with the mouse, and press "OK."

    Again, press "OK."

    And once more, press "OK."

Now, the newly created Windows Server user can connect to the server using RDP.
